I won’t get to do a full review tonight. We’ve had some bad flooding in TN this weekend and I’ve been dealing with cleanup lately.

I was pleasantly surprised with this episode. A lot of Season 5 has disappointed me, but it seems like as the season is coming to a close, HIMYM has gotten its groove back. The twin beds issue was just hilarious, and had a very sweet ending at the end. It’s nice to see Lily and Marshall in a more “fresh” state. The whole Robin issue with the ex-boyfriends and what not was a good plot, and kept me laughing throughout. The one thing I am left confused about (aside from the already sad ending), is whether Barney truly has feelings for Robin or not. It’s the everlasting question really–are Barney and Robin supposed to be together? I’m very happy with this week’s episode. I feel as if I can anticipate the next episode–like it isn’t one of those filler episodes, but rather something that truly progresses the status of someone in the group. Not to say that some of the filler episodes were unenjoyable, of course. I really can’t wait for the next new episode.

It was an amazing episode. But where the heck did Ted get that blue French horn all of a sudden? I mean he got into the cab to beat Barney to it but he had time to go to that restaurant and steal the horn again?
When Barney and Ted got drunk though, that was hilarious, their portrayal of that had a really high credibility. I wonder what’s gonna happen in the next couple of episodes. I mean will Robin not hang out with them for a while?
Also Cobie Smulders said in an interview that Don probably won’t return for season 6 as she and him are going to be broken up by the end of the season.
Oh and Don assuming Ted was gay, how funny was that. Took them kinda long for someone to make an assumption like that haha. I loved when Barney was like this ink is cool, there was something about the way he said it that was really funny!

Oh and apparently today is Star Wars day. It doesn’t really have anything to do with last night’s episode but it’s HIMYM related.

Oh and one more thing, unrelated to this episode. I was watching a couple of early season 5 episodes the other day and Robin says “but um” A LOT. I never realized it before Jenkins but she does!

I agree, i think you can definitely see them laying groundwork for something in the Season finale.

And Barney/Robin, I think they will approach it again eventually. But who knows when.

If this is what the creators said about the return of an ex, then this was (in a high pitched voice) LAAAAAME. But on another note, it was a good episode overall. I just expected more with the exes thing.

Was I the only one a little concerned about the fact that no one besides Don seemed to care that Lily and Marshall were getting twin beds. I’d have thought maybe one of them might have made a comment about it or at least have a look of concern.

Thought the entire bit with glimpses of why Don thought Ted was gay was hilarious. I laughed so hard this entire episode, I thought it was phenomenal. I think the Don/Robin breakup will come because she’s going to miss hanging out with Ted and Barney and Don won’t be able to deal. (Still excited about the possibility of Barney and Robin!!!)
While I don’t think my fiance and I will ever get twin beds, it was kind of cool seeing how Marshall and Lily have the same annoyances we do! I mean honestly, my fiance’s always 500 degrees! Love Marshall and Lily
