Christmas Meme Challenge
December 23, 2007
A frequent visitor/commenter to this site (Vince of What I got So Far), put up a Stupid Christmas Meme about “the capitalist experience of Christmas and not at all about the religious or spiritual experience Christmas was meant to be.” … I really do like the way he puts that. Anyways, I wasn’t directly tagged but my mind is near mush right now, so I will take a stab at something that takes little thought. Here we go, enjoy or not…
- What do you really want for Christmas but you know nobody will get it for you? a new snare. I won’t get it because no one in my family understands drums and I’m too picky… actually, I’ll add socks to this list too.
- What do you not want for Christmas but you know that somebody will get it for you?Another tap and die set (that I have gotten for 3 years running)
- When do you open your gifts (Christmas eve or Christmas morning)?A little of both but the bulk of the gifts happen on Christmas Morning.
- Do you prefer gifts wrapped or in gift bags? Wrapped, seriously what fun are bags?
- Did you regift anything this year?I tried but the wife keeps me walking the straight and narrow.
- What’s your favorite Christmas movie? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
- What’s your favorite Christmas TV special? A Charlie Brown Christmas… (on a side note I really enjoy the Charlie Brown Christmas voiced by the cast of Scrubs)
- Do you like egg nog? Yes
- Real tree or fake tree, which do you prefer? I would rather have a real tree, but hate cleaning up after it so fake be our choice.
- Would you actually use one of those fireplace DVDs if you don’t have a fireplace? I would use one for kenneling but never to watch it.
- Are you sick of Christmas music yet? Only the Christmas related songs. I did want to stab someone at church today for all the Christmas carols… probably not the effect they had intended but whatever.
- Did you getting up early to wait in line to do some Boxing Day shopping (Canada’s equivalent to Black Friday)? I don’t live in Canada but I did do the Black Friday thing either. The would be the definition of insanity to me. See my earlier post for thoughts on this.
- When was the last time you sat on Santa’s lap? Never… Even as a child I had a bad feeling about old men who dressed up so children could sit on their lap.
Well, that’s it. Since it’s so close to Christmas I won’t be tagging any other bloggers with a similar assignment but feel free to fill it out, if you wish. Until later Thanks to Vince and have a Merry Christmas.
