Scrubs Season 8 News and Premiere
November 21, 2008

Finally some news about the Scrubs premiere from ABC. In an official announcement today, ABC said that Scrubs season 8 will premiere on Tuesday, January 6 at 8pm (CST). The first two weeks will be back to back new episodes and after that Scrubs will take the 8.30pm (CST) time slot for the remainder of the season which will be sixteen episodes long. This comes despite earlier news from thefutoncritic.com that Scrubs might be taking the 7-8pm (CST) time slot right in front of LOST. Despite being an odd placement (comedy in front of action/drama) it would have made my viewing plans a lot easier.
The first episode will be titled “My Jerks” and beawesomeinstead.com will be doing recaps of all of Scrubs season 8. Also, ABC is doing an Ask Scrubs, where you can ask the cast and crew questions and get the scoop on what is going on in Scrubs land.
*side note… I know I spend a lot of time talking about HIMYM but Scrubs has been a favorite of mine years before HIMYM came along. This is probably the last season of Scrubs and it’s time someone showed the show some love for all the laughs.
I have heard that guest stars for Scrubs season 8 include Elizabeth Banks, Scott Foley, Tom Cavanagh, Amy Smart, Courtney Cox, and Nicole Sullivan. And relationship wise Scott Foley and Elizabeth Banks’ characters will actually be dating and eventually Elliot and JD will reconnect. I’ll get to the reasons why I still think Elliot and JD would be bad later.
