Scrubs Season 8 Spoilers
December 6, 2008

Seems everyone has the same lame spoilers for Season 8 of Scrubs. Things that I don’t even consider as spoilers, like how many episodes and who the guest stars will be. In case your curious:
- Season 8 will have sixteen episodes …now 19 episodes, not including any webisodes!
- Some of thee first episodes will focus on new interns played by Aziz Ansari, Eliza Coupe, Betsy Beutler and Lee Thompson Young (as well as the a webisode on January 1, 2009.
- If we like the interns, we may get a ninth season focused on them. Shows over after this season
- Guest stars returning this season include Elizabeth Banks, Scott Foley, Tom Cavanagh, Amy Smart, and Nicole Sullivan
- Courtney Cox will play the Chief of Medicine for three episodes
However, seems some places have gotten their hands on some real spoilers for Season 8. I will continue to update this post as more spoilers roll around. And don’t hate me…I love reading the end of the book first.
!!WARNING!! Do not continue if you don’t want to know. *updated – 2.3.09

She bonds with two of the doctors over the fact that her mother is overprotective and won’t let her be a teenager.
Season 8 Episode 10 – Their Story II
- rumored to be either about the new interns or narrated by Turk, Elliot and Carla
Season 8 Episode 11 & 12 – My Soul on Fire (Part 1 & 2)
The young doctors give up their scrubs and don tropical shirts and sandals and journey to The Bahamas for a special wedding, only to find out that the groom didn’t really want them there, he “just wanted the gifts!” Their adventure takes them to Hopetown where the nuptials are to take place between two characters.
- The Janitor is getting married and Bill Lawrence will play the minister in the wedding
- This Episode will be 1 hour long
- The Janitor is getting married right now and – guess what? – we STILL don’t get to learn his name. Close – but no cigar. Bill Lawrence says that you will know the series is really over when we learn Janitor’s name. (my comment: PLEASE NO!!!! Don’t ever let us know for sure!)
- Part of the plot is that the Todd supposedly went to med school in the Bahamas.
Season 8 Episode 13 – My Lawyers in Love
From Bill Lawrence Q&A (Ausiello but found on spoiltertv.blogsopt.com):
A:Will all of the characters get their own little send-off?
BL:Without a doubt. Everybody has their own big summing-up [episode], where they assess where they are and where they’re going in the future — even some of the secondary characters that I never felt I did right by, like Ted Buckland, who plays the lawyer. He’s such a good actor, so I gave him a girlfriend and a life this year. My plan has always been to give every character resolve, and not make it too treacly. I think everyone will be happy. We just finished cutting the finale and we showed it over at ABC and they all dug it.
- Ted gets a girlfriend. Zach Braff and Bill Lawrence hint at this during a scrubs Q&A and say Ted finds happiness this season in a neat way thanks partly to Zach.
- JD & Janitor call a truce to help Ted. Video from Zach’s myspace blog.
Season 8 Episode 14 – My Absence
- Turk and Carla have big news, quite possible that they will have another child.
Season 8 Episode 15 – My Full Moon
Season 8 Episode 16 – My Cuz
Season 8 Episode 17 – My Chief Concern
- script snipet – episode 15 script snipet
Season 8 Episode 18 & 19 – My Finale
- the season finale will deal with Elliot and JD rekindling
- script snipets: my finale script snipet
- we learn the Janitor’s real name (and I wanted it to be a secret forever!)
AUSIELLO:Is it (the finale) an hour-long episode ?
BILL LAWRENCE:It was a half hour, but I ended up shooting a whole bunch of extra scenes so the network just changed it to an hour.A:What’s the episode about?
BL:It’s about J.D.’s exit from the hospital and whether you can hold on to the relationships of your youth, or whether some of them fall by the wayside. J.D. takes a job at a hospital 37 minutes away because it’s in a town where Kim (Elizabeth Banks) lives with his kid; he wants to be in the same town as his kid. He does it thinking it will make absolutely no difference in his life, but, of course, it does. It’s a little bittersweet, but I don’t think it will bum anybody out.A:Where did you land on the whole J.D./Elliot thing? You’ve made no secret of the fact that you didn’t want them to end up together.
BL:I don’t want to ruin it for the audience, so let’s just say I ended up compromising.A:You’ve also said we’d learn the Janitor’s real name. You don’t have to tell me what it is, but are you happy with your choice?
BL:Yeah, but I don’t think anyone will be super excited about it. Neil Flynn and I are happy about it. We felt we had burdened ourselves by never saying it, because then you’re obligated to come up with something big. So we decided, to hell with it, and we didn’t come up with anything big. J.D. finally asks him [in the finale] and the Janitor just says it; there’s no big hoopla.

Hey, let me ask y’all. When BL talks about holding onto the friendships of your youth do you think he means that JD and Turk will go their separate ways and cease to be good friends????
I really hope not

@steven …I’m afraid it’s true (baring the unforeseen)..however he does say if he leaves and the show continues (not likely according to Bill Lawrence, but who knows according to Donald Faison) then Zach would be a “frequent guest” on the show. Whatever all that means.
@David Maswary.
It’s my opinion that they would not cease to be friends. This doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t part ways, something like JD takes a new job and Turk stays at Sacred Heart. But after how they acted in My Comedy Show, it show how inseparable they are as friends. Plus if the relationship were to cease I would have though it would have happened when Elliot and Carla kissed a few seasons ago. That’s my opinion, any other thoughts?

np Claire. glad I could help. I think even if we get a Season 9 it won’t be the same show anymore. I sadly foresee a downward spiral, but I love to be proven wrong too!
