Scrubs s8e16 – My Cuz

Synopsis:
Things get weird for J.D. when he discovers the identity of Kim’s new man as he plans to reach out to her in order to move closer to Sam. Meanwhile, Turk starts a campaign for a promotion.
My Thoughts:
Well, with only 3 episodes (including this one) left in series, I sincerely wish I only had to say season there, you can start to see things wrapping up. Turk moving up in his career, Kelso taking stock in some ways, the Todd looking for a high five from the Janitor, JD thinking about his future and family… who knows what will happen next year, I would say spin off but other than a few episodes and the webisodes the interns are seldom seen. Anyone else feel like they are trying to make JD & Elliot’s direction a little too obvious?
This week was good. The couples bickering was quite funny and welcome back to Scott Foley. Shawn (S.F.) always was one of my favorites from Elliot’s boyfriend list. Anyone else watch the Unit? I digress. The hook-up between Shawn and Kim (Elizabeth Banks) was a great idea (side note…I know I do that a lot, sorry, but I wonder what it’s like to be a writer for a show like Scrubs.)
Turk is always good when he is confident. The many ways he annoys Dr. Cox for the Chief of Surgery job seemed typical of Turk and very entertaining. The newly married Janitor is comedy gold as always, whether it’s delivery or he comes up with the rants who knows. Either way it’s always awesome to watch.
It was also nice to see Kelso get a little bit of focus. Since he retired it’s been a hit and miss with an actually story line from him. And this week may have some future applications, anyone think he will go back to work at Sacred Heart or will Scrubs pull a patented funny/sad episode?

My Great Moments:
- Shawn (Scott Foley) is always good. His delivery, his style, the way JD tone always changes when he talk to him. So good.
- Kelso ate a live starfish on the beach for a dollar bet from the Janitor? Keep this in mind kids, drunk bets never pay.
- Notice all the various poses/ activities going on when Turk rallies the troops for the “good Word” support.
- Weiner cousins? Bigingo sisters? Notice the other cousins? Kelso& the Janitor, Snoop Dogg Doctor & Beard Face…
- The Janitors’s hat for Turk, where can I buy one of these?
- Turk totally deserves the new C.O.S. spot, but what happened to Dr. Winn?
- J.D.’s fascination with unicorns…”Their magical!”
