Scrubs Season 8 Episode 11 – My Nah Nah Nah
March 19, 2009

Synopsis:
Turk gets an idea about a risky procedure from watching Sports Center that may restore a paralyzed teenager’s ability to walk.
My Thoughts:
This episode snuck up on me like I’m sure it did a lot of people. It’s the first new episode since the time shift, and a good one too. I’ll admit that I wasn’t that impressed with My Comedy Show, and honestly I still thought this episode was pretty flat. The title that seemed like a 5th grader made it up, thought it made sense one Sports Center was mentioned.
Above everything the whole nobody caring about Elliot and JD gag was great. The comedy was a little sparse but overall was good. The Jordan/Dr. Cox story line made sense but seemed more like a filler than important content. In fact, I was almost half way through the episode before I concluded it actually was a new episode.
I suppose overall, I just wasn’t that impressed. And as always, I miss it when Ted isn’t in there…that man is comedy genius. What did everyone else think?
My Great Moments:
- JD’s worst athlete ever fantasy
- Nobody cares about JD & Elliot as a couple because they have all seen it before. Especially love the comment from Jordan that no one even talks about it anymore. I was planning on writing an article on the reasons that JD and Elliot shouldn’t end up together, but Jordon’s comment sums it up for me. I just don’t care anymore.
- Love it when Dr. Cox goes throws in a Hugh Jackman insult. I only hope they have an actual Hugh Jackman cameo before the end…
- Any story the Janitor tells. Neil Flynn is a bloody genius. His talk with Lady was a great laugh.
My Quotes:
Jordan: So that’s it, you’re just gonna ignore me?
Dr. Cox: As much as I will ignore the opening of Hugh Jackman next cinematic excretion…
Janitor: I even told her I don’t ever want to have kids, I just want to adopt a really short old guy.
Elliot: Things have been going so great between JD and I since we started dating again, you wanna know why?
Janitor: Not really.
Jordan: No one cares that you two are back together.
Elliot: Why not?
Jordan: Because you’ve been doing it on and off for seven years, and if any one of us ever want to have another stupid conversation about your relationship then all we have to do is think back and remember one of the other billions, of stupid conversations we’ve all had about your relationship.
Janitor: Here goes…if I were a catfish, see that’s no good…catfish is no good… let’s pretend that we’re in Africa and your a monkey trying to steal my gold…
Elliot: I still think that we’re the best couple here.
JD: No one cares Elliot.
Elliot: JD! You’re in the relationship! You have to care!
JD: As I took Elliot hand and nodded to make her think I was listening…

[...] Really good episode. Much better than My Nah Nah Nah and My Comedy Show, the previous two eps. At first I felt bad for JD because of his new role, [...]
